Hey There!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It’s been a busy few weeks here and it doesn’t look like that is going to let up any time soon. Our Omega GLW #2 has just been released for Early Download at Totally Bound, I am splitting time between three WIP and with GRL fast approaching, I have a blog post coming due for the GRL Blog Tour.
I may have mentioned this before, but I am not a great blogger. But why? you might ask. You write books for a living. How hard can it be to write a blog post? Simple answer: SUPER hard!
Blog posts force me to talk about… me. Ack!! I’m kind of boring so I never know what to say. This is where you come in. I need a blog post topic. What would you like me to talk about? I’m an open book, so nothing is off limits.
I will be taking suggestions until May 30th @ 4:00pm EST and will be giving away a $10 Amazon gift card for the winning topic, as well as my eternal love and devotion 🙂
❤ JJ
Blog post are completely different then books so I’m not sure why anyone could compare the two, I would never ask why! I’m the same as you are an open book…. hmm I will have to uh…. say you could uh… talk about… um whom would you enjoy writing with and what would the book be about? Would you switch off chapters or collaborate together?
have you ever thought of writing a different trope within the M/M genre? Don’t get me wrong…I ADORE PNR, but have you thought of cowboy, sci-fi, GFY, contemporary, historical, military etc? Why (not)?
Hi JJ, Looking forward to reading this book.
Blog posts can be anything from your favourite foods to a review of a book you have read.
Or you could start a blog story a couple of pages a week. I’m sure we would all like that.
Like you I hate to talk about myself. Always hated job interviews when they ask “tell me about your strengths”. Anyway, you could talk about your first GRL. The expectations, who you wanted to meet, how you reacted to meeting those authors. Then go into why you started writing, why m/m genre, who is your favorite character, how you research for the sex scenes, do you listen to music while you write and does it influence your storyline? Hope it was helpful 🙂
If I were to look at your search engine, what would I find cached?
I’m curious…as a new writer, I have a ton of things that would either be considered embarrassing or dangerous. Like please Big Brother, just because I’m searching arsonist and accelerants…I promise I’m not planning on setting a fire…my fictional villain is. Also stalker law is among my search engine subjects. Let’s just hope, he who monitors the internet understands.
How did you get started writing? What motivates you to write? Do you have a favorite quote or phrase that gets you through everyday life? Is there another author out there that you would love to collaborate with? In grade school, a teacher once told me to never judge a book by its cover. When people first meet me they think I am quiet and shy until they get to know me. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Hi, JJ: Do people talking on cell phones in checkout lines annoy the hell out of you (they do me!)? This is what I’m thinking for your blog topic: People on cell phones, and their lack of courtesy and common sense. They talk about anything and everything (sometimes very personal) right in front of you like they are sitting in their living room. and driving. !!!! A guy taking on sharp corner (nearly on 2 wheels) almost collided with me, but he never looked back or took his mouth away from his phone. Cell phone common courtesy/common sense: What is going on? That is my suggested topic. I bet you have some great examples of you running into these type of situations!
Know what I hate? Seeing peoples underwear..in public. Now I don’t mean the hot, half nekkid men..yumm..I am talking about the teenagers and young adults who feel it is necessary to show me their boxers. Case in point..last night I was enjoying my nightly or daily walk..depending obviously when I took it, All of a sudden two bikes pass me and oh joy of joys! I get to see not one but two pairs of boxers! For the love of Pete pull your pants up! When I got home and my hubby asked, as he usually does..”So how was your walk?” I replied..”Oh WONDERFUL ( can you sense the sarcasm?) I got to see not one but two pairs of boxers..made my walk it surely did!” I bet we can get at least three blogs on THIS issue…:(
